Who I Serve

We work with clients 10 or older.

Aside from Individual Counseling, we are also able offer parental, spousal, and other relationship support.

For minors, we offer collaborative as need for parents/guardian and other supportive roles in th child’s life.

For adults, we offer the ability for their intended party to join the session, with Client’s consent.
We call these Collaborative Sessions.

The sessions can be used to build communication skills, resolve conflict and negotiate viable solutions, and create trust to support long lasting results.

We are unable to provide Court Ordered Treatment. This includes but not limited to:

  • Substance Abuse/DUI
  • Child Protective Services/ Family Reunification
  • Probation/Parole

Unless subpoenaed, we do not make court appearances. Any documents or requests for records are based on a need and subject to processing fees. To appear in Court, my rate is $250 per hour.

Online or In Person?

We are able to offer Online or In Person services to best meet your needs.

We serve Arizona and Washington residents regardless of where may live in the state.

Our Online Services are delivered through a secure Videoconferencing Platform. To maintain confidentiality, we just ask that join the video session from a quiet, private space with a reliable internet connection.

All virtual links are emailed to the email on the file as few minutes prior to the session.

How Do I Pay for Therapy?

To deliver the best care, I do accept insurance at this time. As such, I am considered an out-of-network provider.

Reimbursement depends on your insurance company and whether they allow for “out-of-network” coverage. Expanding Horizons Counseling PLLC can provide you a “superbill” which can be submitted for a direct reimbursement. Superbills are issued after payment is remitted for services provided.

Please note that your insurance company may only offer partial reimbursement. Expanding Horizons Counseling PLLC and its providers are no responsible for any insurance related issues such as lack of reimbursement, filing claims, verification of benefits, and or eligibility checks.

For more information about your benefits, please contact our insurance company directly. You can also use https://reimbursify.com/individual-page/ to submit your claim. Please note that Expanding Horizons Counseling, PLLC is NOT responsible for any fees charge through this 3rd Party Company.

  • Do I have benefits for out-of-network psychotherapy?
    Is there a deductible? How much have I reached?
  • When does the deductible reset (usually January 1)?
  • What are the out-of-network benefits for CPT codes 90791 (initial assessment), 90834 (individual psychotherapy), 90837 (individual psychotherapy)?
  • Do I have coverage for therapy via teletherapy (video or phone?
  • Do I need any pre-authorization to receive these services out-of-network?
  • Can I submit claims electronically? How long does it take to process?

Expanding Horizons Counseling PLLC accepts the following forms of payment:

  • Cash
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)/Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
  • All Major Credit/Debit Cards.

All cards are kept on file and billed same day of the session. Expanding Horizons Counseling PLLC requests that session payment be current and up to date. Any previous balances must be reconciled prior to next session.

Need Emergency Mental Health Treatment?

If we are currently working together, please notify me immediately of any Mental Health Crisis you may be experiencing. I am able to offer support; we can focus on finding relief so you can feel safe.

Together we create a Resilience Plan which may require hospitalization or higher level of care depending on your needs. We may also schedule an emergency session based on availability and need.
